Greetings
to all the members of
Susquehanna
Post 135 Legion Family,
Well, we are into the new year. HAPPY
NEW YEAR to you and your loved ones. I hope you will be blessed with a better year than last year.
As you know times are still tough but
America being the great country that it is will survive and be stronger because
of it. I am hoping that in the first three or four months of this year we will
be in a better financial position here at the Post. It will not be easy but the Executive Committee is starting to put cost
effective measures in place and we are working with the bank to restructure our finances. This will not happen overnight because
we want to make sure that when decisions are made that they will be right decisions for the membership of this Post and its
wellbeing. In my 22 years in the United States Army I learned one thing, to always dot my “Is” and cross my “Ts”.
If we do that here at the Post I know we will be successful. I hope
as the economy gets better that you will be in a better financial position to support your Post and participate
in the activities here. You will see that by the calendar we have some great activities scheduled (fundraisers) for the coming
year and hope that you will attend them (and bring some friends) and have fun.
Also, I would like to thank all the
members who have volunteered to help with some of the fundraisers we had so far. A big THANK YOU to the various community
organizations that work pizza, chicken, and wing nights here at the Post. Your help is truly appreciated.
In closing let’s not forget our
men and women who are serving our nation today and do not forget our veterans and their families. They deserve our support.
God Bless You, And God Bless the United States of America,
For God and Country,
Donald L. Griffith, Sr.
