Happy New Year Legion, SAL, and ALA Members!!

      What a year for the Auxiliary.  We have been some busy ladies.  I want to give a “special thank you” to all the ladies who volunteered their time to help the Auxiliary with functions and activities in 2008.  The All Day Bingos; kitchen help for special occasions;  wing night for the Legion; attending the meetings and the VA&R functions at Perry Point.  And, if I missed anyone or any functions, I don’t mean to, it’s just an oversight.

      I want to thank the SAL men and Legion members who have also helped us with our functions.  Thanks to everyone who made the “Adopt-A-Family” Tree a huge success.  The families were very appreciative.  Also, thanks to the volunteers who helped with our Children’s Christmas Party.

      As always, the goal for the Auxiliary is to see new faces helping and being a part of the family.  Remember, being a volunteer can give you the greatest personal rewards without giving anything but your time.  If you have any questions about the Auxiliary, please give me a call or drop a note. Our regular meeting night is the third Monday of the month at 6:30pm.  We will be having some new ALA meeting times for 2009 so be sure to watch our bulletin board and newsletter. The January meeting will be Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 1:30pm.
